Sarah Neale

Sarah Neale is a painter of spontaneity and immediacy and her led. Excited by the alchemy of paint, she explores colour next to colour through layers of oil paint, neon spray paint overdrawn with charcoal lines.  The works are rarely planned, paintings emerge through deliberate overpainting.  Decisions are made directly onto the canvas, dictated by the material in hand, enabling  images to flow in and out of abstraction. The surface of the painting is a constant battle ground of creativity and investigation. High energy House music plays a key role in the mood, then creation of the works.Sarah Neale studied Fine Art at Camberwell, University of the Arts London and subsequently completed a PGCE at The Institute, University College London. Sarah lives and works in London.
